Vanderbilt men win Mason Rudolph Championship

Third Round Results FRANKLIN, Tenn. - Vanderbilt capped off a great weekend at the Mason Rudolph Championship, as the Commodores' men's golf team took home a first-place finish. Vandy finished the tournament at seven-under 845, and the only school to finish under-par. The `Dores clinched the championship on Sunday with a final round three-under 281. The win gives Vanderbilt its first outright team championship since the 2009 Seminole Intercollegiate (March 6-8, 2009). It also marks the team's eighth team title in school history. Vanderbilt just missed out on an individual first-place finish as Hunter Stewart finished second with a tournament score of six-under par. Georgia State's Jonathan Grey won with a score of seven-under par. Stewart put together a fantastic weekend and he finished it off on Sunday with a four-under 67. Zach Jaworski and Charlie Ewing also finished inside the top-20. Jaworski and Ewing tied for 12th at one-over for the tournament. Jaworski finished the tournament with a great third round at three-under 68. Ewing shot a three-over 74 to finish a solid overall tournament. Ben Fogler and Jordan Janico rounded out the team scoring for Vanderbilt as they each finished in a tie for 23rd at five-over par. Fogler shot one-over 72 on Sunday, while Janico posted a five-over 76. Representing Vanderbilt on the individuals leader board, Spencer Ciesla and John Voetsch tied for 40th at nine-over par for the weekend. Mills Rendell finished in a tie for 47th at 10-over par. Carson Jacobs posted a 12-over par tournament, while Will Snipes shot 13-over and Ryan Thornton shot 14-over. Vanderbilt will hit the course again when the Commodores head to Dublin, Ohio for the Jack Nicklaus Invitational Oct. 8-9. Vanderbilt Men Scores (Par 71): Individuals
