Led the team in scoring average with a 73.2 average in 32 rounds...Had three top 10 finishes and two top five's in 2011-12...Posted a low round of 67 in the first round of The Prestige at PGA West...Best finish of the season came at the Memphis Intercollegiate, when he placed fourth with a 221 (80-68-73)...Also had a top five finish at the Carmel Cup in Pebble Beach.

Played in all 11 tournaments and 31 rounds, and led the team in stroke average with a 73.3 average...Claimed medalist honors, his first individual championship, at The Hummingbird Intercollegiate, when he carded a 66 and 69 (135)...Also posted top 10 finishes at the Invitational at The Ocean Course (T-10th, 76-74-72=222), the Mason Rudolph Championship (T-4th, 71-70-68=209), the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate (T-6th, 74-75-69=218), and the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Invitational (3rd, 70-69-70)...His first-round 66 at the Hummingbird Intercollegiate was the team low for the season...Was the team's best finisher in six of the team's 11 tournaments...Named to the SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll for his work in the classroom.

A three-year captain at Fox Chapel, Hofmann won the WPIAL (Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League) individual championship in 2006...
