The Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl on New Year's Eve, pitting the Vanderbilt Commodores and North Carolina State Wolfpack, will air on both AM and FM radio stations in the Nashville area.
The Vanderbilt Radio Network, through an agreement between Clear Channel Communications and the athletic department, will broadcast the bowl on the Commodores' AM flagship, 1510 NewsRadio WLAC, and Clear Channel's FM sister station Big 98 WSIX (97.9).
Joe Fisher will provide play-by-play coverage on the Vanderbilt Radio Network, with John Gromos serving as color analyst. Mitch Light will report from thesidelines.
During the regular season, Vanderbilt games were broadcast only on WLAC's powerful AM signal.
"Clear Channel been gracious with the expanded coverage," said Jeff Miller, General Manager of the Vanderbilt IMG Sports Network, Vanderbilt's sports marketing agent. "This simulcast will air our entire game broadcast on both dials and provide extended coverage for Vanderbilt fans."
Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl pregame coverage on 1510 NewsRadio WLAC and WSIX 97.9 will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 31st.
