It's official! Vanderbilt will play Boston College in the 2008 Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl December 31 at Nashville's LP Field! It's been 26 years since we have been bowl eligible!
This is exciting and it offers our University a tremendous opportunity to unite for fun times and to show our golden spirit to the collegiate athletics world. I can assure you that our football team is looking forward to the week. Please visit this link to get a taste of Bobby Johnson's enthusiasm for this historic event.
We are making plans for some special Vanderbilt events to compliment the Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl's own attractive menu of events leading up to the big game. A robust turn-out of Commodore fans not only makes these events more fun, we want to do our part to continue the bowl's tradition of excellence and demonstrate to future bowl committees that Vanderbilt will help make any bowl successful.
Our official website, www.vucommodores.com, has a link to make the purchase of your tickets easy and convenient on-line. Please purchase your tickets through Vanderbilt University while our allotment lasts as our block is deemed the best available seats by the Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl. Filling our block is important as we demonstrate our fan strength now and in future years.
You will also notice on our web site that we are working with a terrific travel partner. Total Sports Travel, with its 24 years of experience working with SEC teams and host cities, has arranged an attractive package, especially for you out-of-state fans. If you have not signed up for free information, there is a link provided to do so. This package, with its pre-game party and transportation, pulls Commodore fans together while making your planning easy. Game tickets are not a part of their package.
We want to strongly encourage our local fans to also become Nashville "tourists". Reacquaint yourselves with Music City and all it has to offer. Consider that Total Sports Travel package and get immersed with the bowl spirit as we paint Nashville Black and Gold!
