Fans invited to Sunday's Bowl Announcement Celebration

Dec. 4, 2013

Commodore fans are invited to join Head Coach James Franklin and his Vanderbilt student-athletes this Sunday on campus as the team celebrates its third consecutive bowl game invitation.

The celebration will begin at 7:45 p.m., at the Vanderbilt Student Life Center located across 25th Avenue from Memorial Gymnasium. Doors will open for the free event at 6 p.m.

The Commodores have had a historic season so far with an 8-4 record that has included wins against Georgia, Florida and Tennessee in the same season for the first time in school history. Additionally, senior wide receiver Jordan Matthews has established new SEC records for single-season receptions, career receptions and career receiving yards.

Fans will have a chance to celebrate with Vanderbilt coaching staff and Commodore players. The Spirit of Gold Marching Band, and members of the Commodore cheer and dance squads also will be in attendance.

Fans can order their bowl game tickets at the event, with ticket office representatives being available to answer questions. Light refreshments will be served.

Parking will be available in the 25th Avenue Garage located at the corner of 25th and Highland Avenue.

Those unable to attend the event may watch the live stream of it for free. (WATCH)
