Bowl Announcement Celebration Sunday

Nov. 27, 2012

Commodore fans are invited to join Head Coach James Franklin and his Vanderbilt student-athletes this Sunday on campus for the team's bowl announcement celebration.

The celebration will begin at 7 p.m., at the Vanderbilt Student Life Center located across 25th Avenue from Memorial Gymnasium. Doors will open for the free event at 6 p.m.

The Commodores, 8-4 overall and currently riding the program's first six-game win streak in more than 50 years, will accept their second consecutive bowl invitation at the celebration. It will mark the first time in Vanderbilt gridiron history that Vanderbilt will enjoy back-to-back postseason appearances.

Fans will have a chance to celebrate with Vanderbilt coaching staff and Commodore players. The Spirit of Gold Marching Band, and members of the Commodore cheer and dance squads also will be in attendance.

Fans can order their bowl game tickets at the event, with ticket office representatives being available to answer questions. Light refreshments will be served.

Parking will be available in the 25th Avenue Garage located at the corner of 25th and Highland Avenue.
