Nov. 7, 2012

"Take the fight to them."

Revenge. You can talk about it until you're blue in the face.

After suffering a 38-8 loss to Vanderbilt last season, Kentucky was out for blood.

The message from the Vanderbilt coaching staff before the game last Saturday focused on the Commodores being the aggressor.

"This is a blue-collar football team that's going to punch you in the mouth from the beginning of the game to the end," head coach James Franklin told his team. "Because it's about us. It's the energy that we bring, it's the passion that we have for this game, it's the love that we have for each other."

The Commodores took the Wildcats' best shot, and countered with a resounding 40-0 knockout in Lexington.
