"We are going to enjoy wins around here."
If you've been around Vanderbilt long enough, you remember times when victories didn't come easy.
The Commodores' 49-7 rout of UMass wasn't perfect when you dissect the game film, but it got the job done.

"I don't care who we beat, I don't care what the score is," head coach James Franklin told his locker room Saturday night. "We're going to enjoy it, we're going to savor it, and we're going to appreciate it for tonight, and then we're going to move on."
Franklin didn't let the team off that easy, though. He made sure to point out their lackluster play early in the game. The Commodores, victims of several penalties, only led 7-0 before scoring two touchdowns late in the second quarter to get some breathing room going into the half.
"We have got to learn to do our jobs consistently and focus on us," Franklin noted. "We didn't do that tonight early on. We were sloppy and we're better than this. We have to get these things cleaned up."
Entering November with a 4-4 record, fans have a reason to be excited. And so do the Commodores.
"Great win. Enjoy it," reiterated Franklin at the end of his speech.
