Vanderbilt (3-3, 0-3 SEC) returns fron an open date to host No. 15 Georgia (4-2, 3-1) Saturday at 11 a.m. CT at Vanderbilt Stadium. The game will be televised by CBS, marking the first time the Commodores have appeared on the network in a dozen years (2001, at Tennessee). It will also be CBS' first trip to West End since 1982 (vs. Ole Miss).
Vanderbilt trails 18-53-2 in the series against the Georgia. Two of the last three games played in Nashville have been decided by five points or less, including the most recent encounter, a 33-28 Georgia win in 2011. In 2006, the 'Dores snapped a 12-game losing streak to the Bulldogs with a 24-22 victory in Athens. Vanderbilt is looking for its first home victory over the Bulldogs since 1991.
The Commodores own an impressive 11-4 record since their 2012 meeting against the Bulldogs, a 48-3 loss in Athens.
To preview the game, Joe Fisher, Voice of the Commodores, talked with head coach James Franklin. WATCH
