(AP) -- Northwestern faced third-and-6 from its own 33 when QB Dan Persa was hit a yard short of the first down marker by Vanderbilt safety Jay Fullam. Officials flagged Fullam for a high hit and a personal foul, allowing Northwestern to run out the clock and claim a 23-21 win over the Commodores.
