College football returned Thursday and the environment on campus was electric. Watch these Sights & Sounds clips to get a better idea of what it was like to be a part of the gameday atmosphere for Vanderbilt's season opener against South Carolina.

First Students
Vanderbilt juniors Jesse Yeager and Jake Books arrived at Vanderbilt Stadium seven hours prior to kick off. Ryan Schulz interviewed the excited students outside Gate 1.

Dore Alley Returns

The Commodores arrived on campus at 3:35 p.m. to participate in Dore Alley, their pregame walk from Vandyville to McGugin Center. A large number of tailgaters made it to campus early for the event, lining Natchez Trace to support the team before the game. 

New Video Board

Vanderbilt's new video board was on display to the public for the first time. See how the Commodores' starting lineup was introduced on the gigantic screen in the north end zone.

Inside the Tunnel

Pregame Activities with VU Student-Athletes

Commodore student-athletes came out to support the football squad for the season opener. Senior bowler Kim Carper chats with members of the bowling, swimming and women's golf teams.
