Quick Slant: NFL bag policy applies to VU-Ole Miss game

Aug. 1, 2014

An early heads-up for fans attending the Ole Miss game in LP Field. Security there is especially tight as the game will be subject to the same security procedures as an NFL game. We have been informed that all spectators will be wanded. The NFL’s bag inspection policy is very different and our advice is to leave bags and purses at home if at all possible. Fans should check out these helpful links: LP Field Stadium Policies | Carry-In Policy

The best advice is do not arrive at the entry gate five minutes before kickoff and expect to be whisked right in.

The SEC Network launch is right around the corner - August 14! Our August 28 football game with Temple is the second big event on the network that day. That’s a Thursday night; our 8:15 p.m. kickoff follows the Texas A&M at South Carolina game.

Has your home’s cable company signed on to carry the SEC Network? Among those companies already on board are Comcast, Time Warner and Bright House, Cox and DISH. At the moment, there are approximately 60 million households nationwide that are plugged in and it is anticipated other large cable companies will soon follow suit.
