NASHVILLE -- Due to inclement weather, the Commodores will not practice today as originally scheduled, instead electing to continue spring drills with workouts on Friday and Saturday.
With the postponement until Friday for the Commodores’ next practice, James Franklin will have five more practices before the Black & Gold Spring Game on Saturday, April 13. The intrasquad game serves as Vanderbilt’s featured attraction and concluding event of spring drills.
This weekend, Franklin’s staff also is hosting a clinic for high school coaches and others hoping to pursue coaching as a career path.
The Commodores are expected to start the Friday practice at 4 p.m., nearly an hour earlier than other weekday sessions this spring. Because of the clinic, the Saturday practice starts at 12 noon.
Both Friday and Saturday practices are closed to the public.
