Early-bird football season ticket buyers eligible for array of incentive prizes

March 31, 2014

On campus in Nashville - Plenty of behind-the-scenes incentives are up for grabs to Commodore fans who take advantage of the April 13 early-bird deadline for renewing their football season tickets.

To celebrate consecutive nine-win seasons and back-to-back postseason bowl victories, Vanderbilt Athletics is offering an array of potential prizes to Commodore fans buying their season tickets by April 13.

All season ticket holders renewing by the early-bird deadline will be eligible for a series of drawings that include travel with the Commodores to an away game, sideline and suite passes, operating the "Admiral" touchdown horn at Vanderbilt Stadium, and commemorative footballs autographed by new Head Coach Derek Mason.

Another big reason to purchase season tickets by April 13 is pricing. All purchases made by the mid-April deadline receive 2013 prices. The cost of season tickets increases after April 13.

The Commodores' have eight home games scheduled this year, one more than in 2013, with the season opener slated Thursday, Aug. 28 against Temple. The Commodore home slate for Southeastern Conference opponents is superb - Ole Miss on Sept. 6, South Carolina on Sept. 20, Florida on Nov. 8 and Tennessee on Nov. 29.

The incentives are an extra step Vanderbilt Athletics officials are taking to reward early Commodore season ticket buyers.

"We have one of the hottest college football programs in the country, along with an outstanding new coach in Derek Mason. Our season ticket holders are the backbone of this football program and we want to thank them for their continued support. We are offering our loyal season ticket holders a chance to win prizes that you can't buy," Associate Athletics Director Steve Walsh said.

A wide range of all-access incentives are available to Commodore fans purchasing football season tickets by the April 13 early-bird deadline.

Only renewing season ticket holders will be eligible for the early-bird prizes.
