Derek Mason will speak at Sports Fest Feb. 23 in Music City Center

Vanderbilt football Head Coach Derek Mason will be among the featured speakers at the Sports Fest scheduled later this month in Nashville's downtown Music City Center.

Mason's appearance at the Sports Fest, sponsored by Dollar General and 104.5 The Zone, is scheduled Sunday, Feb. 23, starting at 1:30 p.m.

Mason, preparing for his first signing class at Vanderbilt's head coach, will also appear at the Vanderbilt Coaches' Meet & Greet on National Signing Day this Wednesday. The one-hour free event is scheduled prior to the Vanderbilt-Tennessee men's basketball game, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. It will be held in the newly opened Vanderbilt Indoor Facility and Multipurpose Center.

Following his talk to Sports Fest attendees, Mason is expected to sign autographs at the Vanderbilt Athletics' interactive booth until 3 p.m. The family-friendly booth will be manned by Vanderbilt Athletics marketing staffers.

The Sports Fest is scheduled Saturday-Sunday, Feb. 22-23 at the Music City Center, which opened one year ago in Nashville across from the Bridgestone Arena and Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

The event is open on Feb. 22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hours for the Sunday activities, including Mason's appearance, are noon to 5 p.m.

Advance tickets are $5 per day for adults and $5 per day for children (ages 3-12). Children under 3 are free. Day of Event tickets will be $10 per day for adults and $5 per day for children (ages 3-12).
