Norman saw playing time in eight games during the 2012 season running for 75 yards on 21 carries and a touchdown... Caught one pass for nine yards against Presbyterian... Carried the ball eight times for 34 yards at Kentucky with a long of 12 yards... Also had returned two kickoffs for 32 yards.
The Commodores' active leader in all-purpose yardage entering the season, Norman did not make an appearance stemming from injury suffered in previous year... Despite not seeing game action, Norman participated in every regular season practice.
Commodores' versatile running back/return specialist put together solid campaign between preseason and late-season injuries... Made six starts at RB in eight appearances... Missed last four games after suffering broken hand late in Arkansas game that required corrective surgery... Opened the season at less than 100 percent after sustaining knee sprain in preseason camp... Despite injuries, Norman topped the Commodores with 459 rushing yards and shared team lead with four rushing TDs... Three-year starting running back for public school power east of Atlanta... As senior, rushed for 1,010 yards and 11 TDs on 131 carries for Bulldogs, and caught 10 passes for 187 yards... Had two INTs in limited defensive duty... Earned First Team All-Region 5-AAA and All-DeKalb County honors as senior... Has an older sister, Tanya Underwood, and younger brother, Art, who also starts at defensive end for the Chamblee football team... Mom works as an insurance agent; dad is a truck driver...
