COLLEGIATE CAREER AT LSU (2011-13)
Rivers participated in four games during a three-year career at LSU, playing behind standout Tiger QB Zach Mettenberger during the 2012-13 seasons... Appearances came as a redshirt freshmen in 2012...
Three-year starting QB at two North Alabama high schools... After starting as a sophomore at Austin HS in Decatur, transferred to nearby Athens HS for junior and senior seasons... Threw for more than 3,300 yards and 35 TDs as starter at Athens, helping AHS to pair of state playoff appearances... Earned MVP honors after leading Alabama squad to win in 2010 Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic... Also started for Athens' basketball squad.
Rivers has two years of eligibility remaining after enrolling this summer in Vanderbilt's divinity school to begin postgraduate studies. He completed a business-rlated undergraduate degree from LSU last May.
