White became only the third three-year captain Vanderbilt in team history, joining Jay Cutler (2003-05) and program co-founder Elliott Jones (1890-92)... As senior, started all 12 games at safety... Concluded the year third among Commodores with 41 solo stops and fourth with 60 total tackles... Also added two interceptions, four tackles for loss and three defensed passes... Posted at least two tackles in every game, topped by career-best effort of 13 tackles against Alabama... Had six solo stops, including two tackles for loss, in opening-season win at Middle Tennessee... Contributed four tackles and interception in victory over nationally ranked Kansas State... Second interception came in win over Western Kentucky... Closed Commodore career with 26 starts in 45 appearances, accumulating 195 total tackles, 127 solo tackles, three interceptions, four forced fumbles, 13 defensed passes and 14 tackles for loss.

Named co-captain for the second consecutive season... Earned 12 starting assignments at strong safety, missing only the Ole Miss game with injury... Ended year by setting numerous season highs - 49 solo stops, 75 total tackles, two forced fumbles and six pass breakups... Set single-game career high with 12 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss in win at Georgia... Late in regular season, registered another career high with 10 solo stops in victory over Tennessee... Also contributed double-digit tackles in win over Middle Tennessee and nine tackles at Kentucky... Registered five tackles vs. NC State in Camping World Independence Bowl... Had at least three tackles in 11 appearances.

Earned postseason co-captain (special teams) vote from teammates... Played in every game, contributing as a safety and punt returner... Earned one start in secondary vs. South Carolina... Finished the year with 18 solo tackles, 26 total tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, a forced fumble and recovery, and one interception... Averaged 7.5 yards on 20 punt returns... Set a career high with six solo tackles at South Carolina... Posted fumble recovery at Middle Tennessee, and interception at Florida.

In his first varsity season, White played in nine games as a safety and special teams contributor... Earned his career as starting nickel back in opener vs. Temple... Concluded season with 34 total tackles, 19 solo stops, 3.5 tackles for loss, two defensed passes and a forced fumble... Registered career performance vs. South Carolina, contributing eight total tackles and a forced fumble... Had four solo tackles, including 2.5 tackles for loss, vs. Temple... Posted at least three tackles in each of team's first seven games... Playing time in secondary diminished late in the season.

White did not participate during the regular season of his first year on campus... One of several young defensive backs to impress coaches during fall as practice squad contributor.

High School
Two-year captain for one of nation's elite prep teams... Three-year starter at cornerback for Trinity squad that captured three straight 6A Kentucky state titles, going 42-1 during 2010-12 seasons... As senior, earned All-State and All-Region recognition after 44 total tackles, three interceptions and 10 defensed passes for 13-1 squad that ranked No. 16 in USA Today's national high school Top 25... As junior, contributed 51 total tackles and an INT in Trinity's 14-0 campaign... Earned honor roll recognition each year at Trinity.

Ryan Andrew White... Completed a degree in Communication Studies in May 2017, currently enrolled at postgraduate studies at Vanderbilt's Peabody College... Son of Robin Woolfolk and Ryan White... Born June 26, 1995 in Louisville... Has a brother, Roman, and sister, Reaghan... Mom works as a nurse... An uncle, Oliver White, played tight end at Kentucky in mid-1980s.
