Ryan saw limited action as a redshirt freshman defensive end... Played in the season-opening victory over Elon, earning one solo tackle in the appearance... Ryan contributed as a practice squad defender through the regular season.

Ryan did not play during first fall on campus, spending redshirt campaign building strength and contributing as defensive end on scout squads.

Senior captain... Started at multiple positions since sophomore year... Has started as end, tackle and linebacker on Marathon defense; also started at tackle on offense as junior and senior... Two-time Class A All-State as a defensive end and All-Region recipient... Twice named team's Defensive Player of the Year... As senior DE, produced 102 tackles, 10 QB sacks and a pair of forced fumbles... As junior, helped Dolphins to district title with 82 tackles and 12 sacks...
