2009-10: Brian Reese, who enters his sixth season overseeing the Vanderbilt football Coaches operation, serves as Associate Director of Student Athletics. He holds one of four such administrative positions with Vanderbilt Athletics, with the football, women's lacrosse and bowling programs under his direction. Among Reese's football oversight responsibilities are day-to-day operation, team travel, budget control, department staffing and alumni relations. He also serves as a campuswide liaison for Coach Johnson's program. Previously, Reese served seven years as head athletic trainer at Furman. Reese, a native of Brook Park, Ohio, earned a B.S. in physical education at Grand Valley (Mich.) State College and a Master's in athletic administration at Tulsa. He joined The Citadel training staff in 1989, working there until he was named to the Furman position in 1995. Earlier, Reese spent two summers with the Detroit Lions and assisted the Tulsa staff during graduate studies. Reese and his wife, Tricia, are the parents of three children; daughters
Maureen, 15, and Brynn, 9; and a son, Patrick, 5.
