Cochran became a starter and one of the team's most improved performers on the offensive front as a redshirt freshman... Started at right tackle in 10 games, missing late-season meetings against Western Kentucky and Kentucky with injury... Showed development in protection as run blocker as season progressed... Earned top blocking grade of the season following season finale victory at Tennessee... Part of offensive line that allowed just 19 sacks during the season, 13 less than the previous year.
Cochran spent much of the regular season working as a reserve offensive tackle after preseason injury to Andrew Jelks, but never saw game action... Impressed coaches with athleticism and agility as an offensive scout lineman.
Three-year letterwinner on offensive line for one of Atlanta’s top private schools... Two-year starter at OT... As senior, registered more than 50 pancake blocks, leading 12-2 GAC squad to Class AA state semifinals... Did not allow single QB sack for team that attempted 288 passes... Earned postseason First Team All-State honors from Atlanta Journal-Constitution and state sportswriters as well as All-Gwinnett County recognition... Helped GAC to 14-1 mark and AA state championship game as junior... Played in Elite Junior Classic after 2014 campaign... Placed as thrower at state track meet as junior... High academic achiever.
