Saw action in every game as reserve defensive end... For most of year platooned starters Broderick Stewart and Tim Fugger, and continued in position rotation when Steven Stone returned from injury to play last five games... Finished with single-season career high of 12 tackles, including four solo stops... Posted first career quarterback sack against Kentucky... Set game high in tackles (3) against Mississippi State... Also posted pair of tackles against Western Carolina, Ole Miss and Army.
2008
Played in 12 of 13 games, seeing increased action in latter stages of season at defensive end... Earned first career start at defensive end in Music City Bowl victory over Boston College... Concluded season with three total tackles, including sharing a tackle for loss vs. Tennessee.
