Vanderbilt's football team and police department joined in a walk of solidarity to the Commodores' first preseason practice.
Mintze contributed for the first time as a redshirt freshman for the Commodores... Played in 11 of 12 regular season games, participating as outside linebacker... Finished the year with four solo tackles, five total stops and 1.5 tackles for loss... Posted single-game high with two solo tackles, including one resulting in minus yards, at South Carolina... Also shared in tackle for loss in victory over Western Kentucky.
Mintze did not play as a true freshman... Missed most of fall practice due to a leg injury.
Senior captain... Two-year defensive starter for Philadelphia public school power... As senior DE/LB, helped Panthers to 15-0 overall mark and PIAA 3A state championship, becoming city’s first public league team to claim state title... Registered 14 QB sacks and 23 tackles for loss among more than 53 tackles during undefeated season, earning 3A All-State and All-Metro honors... Started as junior, but missed much of Imhotep’s push to 3A playoffs due to injury... Transferred to Imhotep from West Catholic after sophomore season... Invited to play in postseason Big 33 Football Classic... National Honor Society member.
