Aaron Hill
Assistant Strength Coach

Aaron Hill enters his fourth year with the Commodore football team as an assistant under Vanderbilt Head Strength Coach James Dobson.

Hill assists Dobson and his staff with all aspects of the Vanderbilt football program, including in-season and off-season training.

Hill joins Vanderbilt after serving a three-month strength and conditioning internship with the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League. Previously, he worked in a similar internship for the University of Minnesota football program during the 2014 regular season.

A native of St. Charles, Mo., Hill was a standout linebacker and team captain at Minnesota, contributing 192 career tackles, five forced fumbles and four interceptions during a 47-game career. Remarkably, he started his collegiate career as a walk-on for the Gophers. He signed as an undrafted free agent with the St. Louis Rams after the 2013 season but did not play in a NFL regular season game.

Hill was a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection and two-time recipient of Minnesota's Butch Nash Award for competitive spirit on and off the field.

He completed a bachelor's degree in kinesiology-sports science from Minnesota in 2013. He earned a master's in education from Minnesota the following year.
