As many of you know, the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt is very near and dear to me. However, you may not know that the Vanderbilt Commodores have been one of my favorite teams for quite some time.

I am inviting you to help me raise over $200,000 to be donated to the Children's Hospital. Athletics has generously agreed to donate half of all single game ticket proceeds sold through Vanderbilt to the Ole Miss/Vanderbilt football game on September 15th. This has the potential to be the largest single game cause-related donation in college football history ~ truly a record of which to be proud!

My challenge to you is for each of you to sell at least 6 tickets. The tickets are priced at $42. The football game with Ole Miss is always an exciting college game. We anticipate this year's match to be especially good. Coach Johnson has a great team put together and I am confident they will do well this year.

But this is more than a fun Saturday at a football game, because we are saving lives! You all know how important fundraising is to the Children's Hospital, and I believe this event has great potential to help the children and families affected by disease, accidents and trauma.

Attached you will find a Fundraiser Tally Sheet that you can use to qualify for some special prizes. Those who sell the most tickets will be invited, along with three guests, to hang out in the Field Level Hospitality Tent with all the food and beverages you can handle during the Ole Miss game on September 15th. Those who sell 25 or more tickets will get a tin of delicious Christie Cookies autographed and personalized by me. And those who sell 10 or more tickets will receive a Vandy prize pack.
