TRINITY DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR CRAIG SWABEK
"They're going to love this kid at Vanderbilt. Ryan started 43 games for us at Trinity. His teammates would say Ryan was as instrumental as any of our players for that success.

"Ryan is simply a playmaker. When they turn the lights on, that's Ryan time. As a corner, his greatest asset is a tremendous ability to tackle. He brings a real physical nature to that aspect of the game. I think Ryan can also help as a punt returner.

"Statistics don't do justice to Ryan's game. There were some teams that didn't throw at him at all. A lot of times, he's completely shut down the other team's top receiver."
