Island Coast Head Coach Joe Bowen
"Jimmy is a hard worker and a good player. There are not too many kids whose coaches can say they never missed a practice, but Jimmy is one of those guys. He's worked hard for everything he's gotten.
"I think Jimmy will be successful at Vanderbilt because of his work ethic, the way he's wired. He's a good overall football player, but more than that, a great human being.
"Jimmy meant a lot to our team. He was Mr. Versatile. He was still growing the first two years we had him, so he's played every position, from cornerback to safety to outside linebacker and finally defensive line. He's always been a team-first guy and that was very important."
