HEAD COACH DAN MCGUGIN
"The MBA motto is `Gentleman, Scholar, Athlete.' Fitz absolutely embodies those words. Just like Hunter (Hillenmeyer) was and Wesley (Johnson) is now, Fitz comes from the same mold.
"I've never coached anyone with the versatility that Fitz displayed. He simply had success everywhere we placed him. Fitz is also incredibly instinctual on the field. Call it football smarts, he's blessed with it.
"This year, we had some obvious tendencies and didn't care if our opponents knew about them or not. We advanced to the state championship by giving it to Fitz."
