HIGH SCHOOL Senior captain... Three-year starter at defensive back for large public school power located between Fort Worth and Dallas... Unanimous First Team All-District 5-5A pick as senior... As senior, contributed as defensive back (51 tackles, two INTs), receiver (15 catches, 3 TDs, 21.4-yard average) and returner (37.6-yard average on KOs) for 9-2 squad that lost to nationally ranked team (Trinity and Southlake Carroll)... Averaged 32.1 yards per catch and posted INT as junior prior to early season injury... Named district's top sophomore defensive player in 2006... Three-year sprint standout in track... Captured district 100-meter title as sophomore... Personal best of 10.6 (100 meters)... Named Academic All-State in 2008.

"Eddie was a versatile and effective player on defense, playing both corner and safety this season. He also provided a big spark to our offense as a receiver. He's a big-play kind of guy.
"He is a naturally gifted athlete, and a guy that is just blessed with plenty of speed. It's a tremendous asset for this young man.
"Eddie was a physical presence for us, even at his current size. When he gets in the Vanderbilt program and starts putting
on some more weight, I think he's going to become quite a corner."
