"Ryan is a very versatile athlete who has improved each year under our program, and he's going to continue that progression at Vanderbilt. He's also a competitve kid that works hard to improve.
"He's an extremely versatile football player. During his time here, Ryan played everywhere he could along the offensive line, including tight end.
"He did a great job for us this year at defensive end. Ryan's ability to use his hands to separate from blockers is really advanced for this level.
"Ryan's a big, strong young man now, but he can get much bigger depending on how Vanderbilt uses him."
