Vanderbilt head coach Kevin Stallings has announced that guard Charles Hinkle intends to transfer to another institution to continue his basketball career.

The 6'6 guard from Los Alamitos, Calif., averaged 1.4 points and 0.5 rebounds in 10 games in the 2009-10 season, and 1.8 points and 0.8 rebounds in his two-year Vanderbilt career. Hinkle sat out the 2007-08 season as a redshirt.

"Charles is a great kid with an outstanding work ethic who comes from a good family, and we wish him the best. We will do whatever we can to help Charles in his future basketball endeavors," said Vanderbilt head coach Kevin Stallings.
