Ezeli sprains MCL, PCL, out 6-8 weeks

Oct. 28, 2011

Vanderbilt center Festus Ezeli sprained his MCL and PCL ligaments in his right knee on Tuesday at practice, and will miss six to eight weeks.

Ezeli, a second-team All-SEC preseason selection, will not need surgery on the knee.

Ezeli’s NCAA-mandated penalty administered by the NCAA earlier this month will not be affected by the injury. If he returns after the Monmouth game on November 25, he will be eligible to play immediately.
