On July 3, the NBA's New York Knicks announced the signing of former Vanderbilt center Luke Kornet. The Knicks inked Kornet to a two-way contract, which allows NBA teams to shuttle players between the NBA and the G-League, the new name for the NBA Developmental League. Kornet's signing follows a senior season with Vanderbilt in which he earned First Team All-SEC and All-Defensive honors as well as SEC Scholar Athlete of the Year. With Kornet, the Commodores reached the semifinals of the SEC tournament and earned a berth in the NCAA tournament.
Following his stint in the NBA Summer League, Kornet caught up with the Commodore Insider Podcast to discuss adjusting to NBA life, his Summer League experience, the Commodores' future under Bryce Drew and much more.
