Old video board lowered at Memorial Gym

New video boards scheduled for installation next week

MEMORIAL GYMNASIUM - Work began Tuesday to replace the video board that hangs above Ingram Court. With the playing floor still covered from last week's Commencement festivities, a crew of six brought the old Jumbotron down from the rafters and began dismantling it this morning.

Installation of the new, larger video boards is expected next week. The new boards--designed by Young Electric Sign Company (YESCO)--will be noticeably brighter while also being more energy-efficient. The setup features four widescreen-format boards that each measure approximately 16' by 9'. A 2' advertising ring with rounded corners will hang below the screens.

This is one of a number of renovation efforts currently underway throughout the athletic facilities. Check back to our web site throughout the summer as we continue to update the progress being made around campus.
