Team Record and Series Notes:
-This is the 115th year of Vanderbilt basketball, with the first season taking place in 1900-01. There were no teams in 1904-05 and 1905-06.
-Vanderbilt’s lead over Middle Tennessee in the all-time series now sits at 29-7.
-Vanderbilt’s record is now at 3-6, while Middle Tennessee improves to 6-1.
-Tonight marked Vanderbilt’s 1,008th straight game with a three-point field goal. Vanderbilt is just one of three schools to have made a three-point basket in every game since the inception of the three-point line in the 1986-87 season. The others are Princeton and UNLV.
-Vanderbilt’s perimeter defense forced Middle Tennessee to miss its first 11 3-point field and the Blue Raiders finished just 3-14 (21%) from behind the arc.
-Vanderbilt’s bench, led by 17 points from Matthew Fisher-Davis, outscored Middle Tennessee’s by a 32-4 margin.
-Matthew Fisher-Davis led all Vanderbilt scorers with 17 points, while shooting 5-of-9 from the floor.
-All five of Fisher-Davis’s field goals were 3-pointers, marking the second time this season that the senior has made five or more treys.
-Fisher-Davis also led the team in rebounds with seven, which is the second time this season that he has led the team in rebounding for the game.
-Fisher-Davis was joined in double-figures scoring by Jeff Roberson, who finished with 13 points.
-Roberson has scored in double figures every game this season with the exception of a neutral site matchup against Virginia on Nov. 23.
-Roberson was a perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line for the third time this season. He is now 48-52 (92%) from the charity stripe during the 2017-18 campaign.
-Djery Baptiste recorded a career-high three blocks on the night..
-Riley LaChance led Vanderbilt in assists on the night with five, which is a new season high.
