Vanderbilt Head Coach Kevin Stallings:
"(Arkansas) played very well, especially on the offensive end. They made big plays, and more plays than our team at the end. They've got a lot of talent. If you lined up their talent and our talent, most coaches would take their talent. We weren't hitting on enough cylinders. We were close. We can't have our (Jermaine Beal and Alex Gordon) go 1-of-16 (combined) from the floor on the road and expect to win. We have been real solid defensively, recently. We got some bad bounces today, some things went against us."
On the timeout call that resulted in a technical foul:
"I'm not exactly sure what happened. I truly do not know why we called a timeout."
On Shan Foster:
"Shan was spectacular. He was terrific. In fact, he's been terrific all season long. He's a great player, but every day of the week, he's a better human being than a basketball player."
On Sonny Weems:
"He's a good player. I like his game. He can score in a lot of different ways. He's been effective on everybody."
Center Andrew Ogilvy:
"I was really frustrated with the way we played. If we didn't have so many fouls, we would have had a better chance of winning. In the first half, we struggled with making crucial baskets."
Forward Shan Foster:
"Arkansas had great defenders. They shot 65% in the first half, so I have no doubt they are a hard team to compete against."
On Vanderbilt's play:
"The game didn't go down the way we wanted. We had a lot of plays that were not working with us throughout the whole game."
On breaking the Vanderbilt career scoring record:
"I have never put my focus to breaking the (school scoring) record. It is more important to me that we play as a team; whether we win or lose we do it as a team."
Forward Ross Neltner:
On playing at Bud Walton Arena:
"Arkansas' players and fans brought a lot of pressure that our team couldn't handle."
On Vanderbilt's loss:
"It was a rough game, and we made too many errors."
Arkansas Head Coach John Pelphrey:
"Our record at home sounds awfully good. The passion and excitement of our fans is just great. We played with great heart and toughness against a really good basketball team. Being at home really helped motivate our guys to overachieve."
On Arkansas' defense:
"We had good defense all the way through the game. Nobody hung their head if they didn't get a rebound, they just kept on fighting."
On Arkansas' effort:
"I want to continue to challenge these guys. They played with heart and determination and made some good free throws down the stretch. We just aren't getting that kind of performance on the road. They have to get out there on the road and really give it their best effort."
On Arkansas' play:
"We need everybody out there. Anyone that puts on the Razorback uniform has a chance to step up and get out there and play, but we really need everyone."
On Patrick Beverley's shooting:
"(Patrick Beverley) has had a tough couple of games, but in the second half today he really stepped up and played with a lot of determination. Everyone on our team really stepped up and attacked."
Forward Sonny Weems:
On the win:
"It was a real good win for us today. Vanderbilt is a great team and they fought until the end, but I'm glad we were able to pull out the win."
On the game against Vanderbilt:
"We knew (Vanderbilt) was going to give us that kind of game. Coach prepared us well throughout the week."
Guard Gary Ervin:
On the game:
"Coach (Pelphrey) let us know just now in the locker room that it is down to crunch time. We just have to feed off this emotion and carry it through the rest of the season."
Guard Patrick Beverley:
On Arkansas making a run at an NCAA tournament bid:
"We understand what kind of place we're in and what it's going to take to make it to the NCAA Tournament."
On Arkansas' fan support:
"It was very fun playing today. Give our fans a lot of credit. If it wasn't for them, we wouldn't have won the basketball game."
