Evans, a 6’2 guard from Bellaire High School in Houston, Texas, was the number 16-ranked prospect in the state of Texas and 247sports.com ranked him as the 11th-ranked combo guard nationally at the end of his junior season.
 He chose the Commodores over Purdue, Northwestern, and Kansas State.  Played in 29 games and made 15 starts as a true freshman.

Freshman (2017-18):
Played in 29 games and made 15 starts…Averaged 3.9 points per game in 13.0 minutes…Scored in double figures in four games as a true freshman, including a career-high 16-point effort in a win over Georgia…Tallied 14 points against Houston Baptist and at Ole Miss…Grabbed career-high nine rebounds at Arkansas…Made career-high three three-pointers against Texas A&M…Played career-high 29 minutes at Auburn.
