Notes from Tuesday night's scrimmage
The Commodores scrimmaged under the lights Tuesday night working on different situations. The offense was impressive with the Black Team scoring six runs. Jack Lupo and Conrad Gregor started the scoring with RBI-doubles in the first. Josh Lee added a RBI-double in the second frame and Drew Fann knocked in Connor Harrell, who also doubled, with a double of his own.

Pitching also stood out for the Black Team with Sam Selman striking out two batters in his inning of work. Tyler Beede and Kevin Ziomek each worked clean innings and Steven Rice worked out of a jam with a pair of strikeouts in his lone inning. Robert Hansen fanned two in his inning and Philip Pfeifer worked around a Tony Kemp single to keep the Gold team off the board in the final inning. Nevin Wilson worked out of a jam for the Gold squad and turned in the only scoreless inning for the team on the day.
