Vanderbilt's recruiting class became solidified last week when the deadline for major league baseball teams had to sign players passed.

Of the Commodores' original 13-man class, 11 members are on schedule to attend Vanderbilt in the fall and join the Dores for the 2013 season. Vandy also received good news when rising senior outfielders Connor Harrell and Mike Yastrzemski turned down Detroit and Seattle to return to West End. (MLB.com's Peter Gammons discussed the Mariners late push to sign Yastrzemski, read the story here.) Supplemental first round picks Matt Olson (Oakland) and Collin Wiles (Texas) were the only VU signees to ink pro deals.

Head Coach Tim Corbin and the Commodores will welcome 11 new faces next month when classes resume at Vanderbilt.
