On campus in Nashville - Fans are invited to Vanderbilt Stadium Wednesday night to watch the Commodores battle for the College World Series title free of charge.
Vanderbilt Athletics officials are opening Dudley Field & the Stadium to Vanderbilt fans wanting to watch the championship game, which starts at 7 p.m. CT.
Fans are invited to bring a blanket and watch from the field or seating will be available in the stadium bleachers. Free parking is available in the Medical Center lots located at the corner of Jess Neely Drive and Natchez Trace.
Fans are encouraged to bring blankets and/or folding chairs. Concessions will be open in the stadium, but families can bring food and drinks (no alcoholic beverages will be allowed).
This is the first time in school history that the Commodores have advanced to the finals at the College World Series and it is the program's second trip to Omaha in its history, the first coming in 2011. Vanderbilt will be battling for the first men's team national championship in school history.
