Picked up at least one hit in all four games of the week, including three multi-hit games over the weekend at Kentucky.
Kemp posted a big day in the Dores' doubleheader sweep going a combined 6-for-10 in the two wins scoring two runs.
He added two more hits in Vandy's SEC title clinching win on Sunday driving in a run and scoring two more.
His three multi-hit games over the week pushed his season total to a team-best 24.
Vanderbilt swept through the week taking down Presbyterian on Wednesday and claiming the Southeastern Conference title with a three-game sweep at Kentucky... The Commodores topped the Blue Hose 5-2 on Wednesday night at Hawkins Field jumping out to an early lead and holding on late... Spencer Navin smashed his fourth homer of the season and went 2-for-3... T.J. Pecoraro picked up the win with three scoreless innings as the Dores' pitching held Presbyterian to just one hit through the first eight innings... Vandy swept a doubleheader at Kentucky on Saturday after the series opener was washed out on Friday night in Lexington... The Dores pounded out 15 hits in an 11-3 victory playing long ball early in the game... Connor Harrell and Zander Wiel each went deep in the fourth inning before the Commodores hung seven runs in the 5th to blow the game open... Harrell scored three runs and knocked in three more along with Wiel, who also had three RBI... Kemp led the way with three hits from the leadoff spot... Kevin Ziomek earned his 10th win of the season allowing two runs, one earned, on seven hits over six innings... Ziomek became just the 10th pitcher in Vanderbilt history to win at least 10 games in a season... VU finished the twin bill sweep with a 5-3 victory in the nightcap... Mike Yastrzemski's two-run double in the seventh inning proved to be the difference in Tyler Beede's 13th straight win this season... Beede worked through 5.1 innings allowing two runs, one earned, on two hits to match Grayson Garvin's school record for wins in a single season... Ziomek and Beede become just the third pair of Commodore pitchers to each win 10-plus games in the same season joining David Price and Casey Weathers (2007) and Garvin and Sonny Gray (2011)... Tony Kemp and Conrad Gregor each had three hits in the win to pace the Commodores' 13-hit attack... Vanderbilt clinched the outright SEC title on Sunday with a 10-5 win over Kentucky to finish off the Dores' ninth series sweep of the season and seventh sweep in SEC play... Steven Rice came out of the bullpen to pick up the Dores with 4.2 scoreless innings - the longest outing of his career- to earn the win and clinch the league title... Spencer Navin led Vandy's offensive outburst with three hits as VU scored in six of the nine innings... Going back to last season the Commodores have won 17 straight series, including 10 sweeps... Vanderbilt now stands one win shy of South Carolina's SEC record 25 wins... The Commodores wrap up the regular season at home this week with a Tuesday night tilt against crosstown rival Belmont and a three-game series against Alabama that starts on Thursday night.
