Pitcher of the Week Nominee

Carson Fulmer, RHP, 5-11, 195, Lakeland, Fla.

Dominated at No. 4 Florida in his first career shutout going the distance for the first time in Vanderbilt's 3-0 win on Friday night, the Commodores' first win at Florida since 2010.
Matched his career-best with eight strikeouts and his two walks matches his low as a starter.
Retired 12 straight Gators at one point not allowing a runner to reach second base until the ninth inning with two outs.
Finished the game by blowing away Florida's Harrison Bader with a 95 mph fastball on a full count.
Continued his dominance as a starter moving to 4-0 in four starts and extend his scoreless streak to all 28 innings as a starter.
Fulmer's shutout is the first for the Commodores since Kevin Ziomek blanked Illinois-Chicago on March 1, 2013 and first in league place since T.J. Pecoraro shut out Ole Miss on the final weekend of the 2012 season.

Conde had a powerful week for the Commodores, doubling his home run total for the season with two home runs and driving in eight runs.
The junior blasted a first inning grand slam in Tuesday's game against No. 10 Louisville finishing the night 2-for-5.
Launched his second home run of the week in Saturday's win at No. 4 Florida, smashing a three-run homer in Vandy's eight-run first inning.
Posted three two-hit games during the week to push his season multi-hit total to 13.

Commodore Notes
Vanderbilt went 2-2 during the week, including the Commodores' first series win at Florida since 2006... The Dores dropped the Battle of the Barrel on Tuesday to No. 10 Louisville in an 11-7 slugfest... Vince Conde launched a grand slam in the first inning and Zander Wiel added a two-run blast of his own in the loss... Walker Buehler took the loss allowing seven runs on six hits over 2.2 innings... Vandy was shutout for just the second time this season on Thursday night at No. 4 Florida 1-0... Tyler Beede allowed a run in the first inning to take the loss, scattering three hits and striking out six... The Commodores matched a season-low with two hits and put only two runners in scoring position... Carson Fulmer picked up the Commodores on Friday night with his first career shutout in the Dores' 3-0 win... Fulmer dominated the Gators allowing only four hits and matching his career-best with eight strikeouts... The sophomore did not allow a runner to reach second base until two outs in the ninth inning in the Commodores' first complete game shutout since Kevin Ziomek vs. Illinois-Chicago last March... Vandy jumped on Florida early to clinch the series on Saturday with an eight-run first on the way to a 16-2 win... Zander Wiel drove in two runs with a single and Vince Conde and Dansby Swanson each hit three-run home runs in the inning... Swanson drove in a career-best four runs in the win and matched a career-high with three runs scored... Nine different Commodores registered hits in the victory... Tyler Ferguson turned in five scoreless innings to pick up the win... Vanderbilt wraps up the regular season this week at home against SEMO on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. and hosts No. 17 South Carolina beginning Thursday on national TV on ESPNU at 6:30 p.m.... Friday's game is set for 6:30 p.m. and the regular season finale will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network at 2 p.m.
