Vanderbilt lost three-of-four games during the week dropping Tuesday’s game against Tennessee Tech then losing three-of-four to No. 12 Florida over the weekend… The Commodores fell 5-2 in a rain-soaked loss to Tennessee Tech on Tuesday night… A four-run fifth inning was too much for the Dores to overcome in Chandler Day’s first loss of the season… Vandy let a late lead slip away on Thursday night in a 10-6 loss to Florida… The Commodores yielded five runs in the ninth… Connor Kaiser drove in two runs in Reed Hayes’ first loss as a Commodore… Kyle Wright snapped the Dores’ season-long, three-game losing streak with a three-hit shutout on Friday night in Vanderbilt’s 2-0 win over Florida… Wright punched out a career-best 13 with no walks in his second straight shutout of the Gators… Jason Delay led the offense with three hits and scored both runs in the victory… Will Toffey and Ethan Paul each added two hits apiece… The Commodores dropped the series on Saturday in a 20-8 loss… Jason Delay drove in three runs with Jeren Kendall and Ethan Paul chipping in three hits each… Drake Fellows took the loss after allowing six runs, five earned, on four hits over two innings… Vanderbilt hits the road for four games this week beginning Tuesday night at Middle Tennessee before traveling to Georgia for a three-game series beginning Friday night.
