Vanderbilt posted the team's second straight 2-2 week after beating Indiana State and losing two-of-three against Texas A&M... The Commodores opened the week with a 6-2 win over Indiana State behind a strong outing by Walker Buehler... The right-hander recorded his second 10-strikeout performance of the season, allowing one run on three hits over seven innings to match his career-long... Freshman Karl Ellison drove in two runs in his first career start as the designated hitter while Bryan Reynolds and John Norwood added two hits apiece... Vandy dropped the series opener to Texas A&M on Friday night 10-4... Tyler Beede took the loss allowing seven runs, four earned, on nine hits and four walks over five innings... Bryan Reynolds led the way for the offense with three hits... The Commodores bounced back to claim the Saturday game with an 8-5 win... Brian Miller matched his career-best with five innings coming out of the bullpen to earn the win, allowing one run on two hits with four strikeouts... Five different Commodores recorded multi-hit games as the team pounded out 13 hits... Dansby Swanson and Rhett Wiseman led the way with three hits each as Wiseman and Jason Delay drove in two runs apiece... The Vandy offense faltered on Sunday in an 8-2 loss to the Aggies... Starter Tyler Ferguson took the loss allowing six runs, five earned, on seven hits over six innings... The Vanderbilt offense outhit Texas A&M 11-8 but only scored two runs in the loss that snapped a streak of 10 straight series wins at home in league play dating back to 2012... The Commodores host Middle Tennessee State on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. before returning to the road in Southeastern Conference play with a trip to Arkansas... First pitch on Friday is set for 6:35 p.m. at Baum Stadium, Sunday's game will be televised on Cox Sports at 6:05 p.m. and the finale will air on ESPN at 12 p.m.
