Once again, Vanderbilt pulled off the rare triple steal.

With the bases jammed and Mike Yastrzemski at-bat in the fourth inning Tuesday, Xavier Turner took advantage of Lipscomb pitcher Jacob Knott's slow windup delivery and bolted from third on the second pitch. Turner raced down the line and just beat the tag to score.

Jack Lupo swiped third and Tony Kemp took second to complete the difficult feat.

"Coach Corbin asked me if I could get it. I told him yeah and just put it on," Turner said. "Luck, I guess, pure luck."

Turner noted that it was the first time he's ever stolen home. Last season in the SEC Tournament, the Commodores executed the triple steal to perfection against Florida.

"We like to do it when the opportunity presents itself, and there aren't a lot of opportunities to do it," head coach Tim Corbin added. "Sometimes it can be a game-changing play." VIDEO
