Vanderbilt went 2-2 during the week with the team's first series loss since late April of 2012 snapping a streak of 23 straight regular season series victories, including 15 straight in league play... The Commodores started the week with an 8-4 victory over Belmont at Rose Park... Freshmen Ro Coleman and Bryan Reynolds each homered in support of Walker Buehler, who fanned a career-best eight over six innings to earn the win... Mississippi State hammered the Dores in the series opener on Friday 17-2... The Commodores made a season-high five errors and issued a season-high nine walks... Tyler Beede took the loss allowing a career-high 11 runs, five earned, on six hits over 2.2 innings... An early lead slipped away from VU on Saturday as the Bulldogs rallied to win 6-3... Zander Wiel drove in two runs in the first inning but MSU came back to take the lead with a two-run double in the third and never looked back... Jared Miller was pinned with his first loss of the season allowing four runs, three earned, on four hits and a career-high five walks over 4.1 innings... Vandy salvaged the Sunday game with a 5-1 win behind starter Tyler Ferguson... Ferguson turned in six scoreless innings and did not allow consecutive base runners to pick up his fourth win of the season... Bryan Reynolds led the way with three hits with Ro Coleman and Xavier Turner chipping in two hits each... Vanderbilt returns home to host Belmont and Kentucky this week... The Dores and Bruins are set for a 6:30 first pitch on Tuesday before the Wildcats visit beginning Friday... Kentucky is fresh off a series win over top-ranked South Carolina...
