• Set the table for the Commodores' offense with three multi-hit games during the week.
• Drove in two runs with his 18th career triple, leaving him three shy of the SEC record, and stole two bases in Wednesday's win vs. Buffalo.
• Posted back-to-back three-hit games on Saturday and Sunday at Auburn as the Dores swept the Tigers.
• Reached base five times (three singles, two walks) in Sunday's victory.

Pitcher of the Week Nominee
Brian Miller, RHP, 6-4, 200, Franklin, Tenn.
• Weekly totals: 4G/0GS, 4SV, 3.0IP, 1H, 0R/0ER, 1BB, 3K
• Pitched in all four of the Commodores wins during the week earning the save in all four games.
• Allowed only two base runners over the four-game stretch.
• Now has seven saves on the season putting him four short of the VU school record and his 12 career saves move him into a tie for fourth all-time at Vanderbilt.
• Needed just five pitches to save Vandy's 4-2 win over Buffalo on Wednesday.
• Recorded the final two outs in Friday's win at Auburn getting a fly out and strikeout to end the game.
• Stranded the bases loaded in the eighth inning with the tying run at the plate on Saturday before working a scoreless ninth inning to clinch the series.
• Entered his 13th game of the season in the ninth on Sunday to get the final two outs against the Tigers and give the Commodores their second straight sweep at Auburn.

Freshman of the Week Nominee
Rhett Wiseman, DH, 5-11, 190, Mansfield, Mass.
• Weekly totals: 4G/1GS, 12AB, 4R, 5H, 2-2B, 3B, 5RBI, 2BB, 0K, .750 SLUG
• Played in all four games during the week as the Dores' designated hitter.
• Doubled and scored while driving in a run with a sac fly to help beat Buffalo on Wednesday.
• Broke up a scoreless game on Saturday at Auburn with his first career triple driving in a run before scoring later in the inning. Tacked on a RBI-single later in the game.
• Scored two runs in his first two plate appearances on Sunday before knocking in runs with a double and single later in the Dores' victory.

Commodore Notes
Vanderbilt improved to 19-2 with a 4-0 week topping Buffalo on Wednesday and sweeping Auburn in the first weekend of Southeastern Conference play... The Commodores needed a two-run triple from Tony Kemp on Wednesday to escape with a 4-2 win vs. Buffalo... Freshman Walker Buehler earned his second straight win with six solid innings allowing one run on two hits with seven strikeouts... VU returned to the road to open SEC play at Auburn and received another outstanding outing from Kevin Ziomek to beat the Tigers 5-2 on Friday night... Ziomek took a no hitter into the seventh inning before losing the bid with one out in the frame... The lefty earned his fifth win with 8.1 innings of work giving up two runs, one earned, on five hits with five strikeouts... Conrad Gregor and Connor Harrell provided the offense with the long ball, Gregor blasted his first home run of the season with a solo shot in the first and Harrell followed with a three-run homer in the third... Vandy used another stellar start to clinch the series on Saturday with an 8-1 win... Tyler Beede was not sharp but still took a no-hit bid of his own into the seventh inning before the Tigers finally picked up a hit with one out in the seventh... Beede earned his fifth win of the season scattering two hits over 6.2 scoreless innings and despite matching a career-high six walks... Joel McKeithan drove in a career-high three runs with Jack Lupo and Rhett Wiseman driving in two runs each... Vanderbilt held off Auburn 8-6 on Sunday to clinch the Dores' first road series sweep since sweeping the Tigers on The Plains in 2011... The Commodores' 3-0 start in SEC play is the team's best since starting 3-0 in 1972... Tony Kemp and Mike Yastrzemski each had three-hit games while Conrad Gregor drove in a season-best three runs... Jared Miller earned the win out of the bullpen and Brian Miller earned his fourth save of the week getting the final two outs... Miller now has seven saves for the season and is tied for fourth all-time with 12 career saves... Vanderbilt remains on the road with a game at Middle Tennessee State this week before welcoming Florida to Hawkins Field for the Commodores' first home SEC series of the season.
