Vandy hosted LSU to open SEC play with aces Tyler Beede and Aaron Nola dueling on Friday night, the Tigers rallied for four runs in the eighth inning to claim the series opener 4-2... Beede was the tough-luck loser despite leaving the game with a one-run lead, allowing two unearned runs over 7.1 innings with one walk and seven strikeouts... Vince Conde had three of VU's seven hits and drove in one of the team's two runs in the loss... The Commodores bounced back in a big way on Saturday by sweeping both ends of a doubleheader against LSU...
