The coaches of the Southeastern Conference have picked Vanderbilt to win the league's East division.
In the coaches' preseason poll, Arkansas was selected to win the West division and win the league overall title. The Commodores and Razorbacks each received 12 of the 14 votes to win their respective divisions with coaches not being allowed to vote for their own team. Vanderbilt was voted ahead of Florida, Kentucky, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee and Missouri. LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Alabama and Auburn followed the Razorbacks in the West.
