The Southeastern Conference's 14 coaches have picked Vanderbilt to finish second in the league's East division behind South Carolina.
The No. 10 Commodores received five first place votes in the East with the No. 7 Gamecocks picking up the other nine. No. 23 Florida was selected to finish third with Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia and Missouri rounding out the East division.
In the West, No. 9 LSU finished just ahead of No. 8 Mississippi State despite the Bulldogs receiving seven first place votes to the Tigers' six. Texas A&M picked up the other first place vote and finished in a tie with Alabama for third in the division. No. 25 Arkansas was voted to finish fifth followed by Ole Miss and Auburn.
South Carolina was also selected as the favorite to win the league title with five votes but LSU (4), Mississippi State (4) and Vanderbilt (1) all received votes.
The Commodores open the season at Long Beach State on Friday and return home to face Lipscomb in the Hawkins Field opener on February 19 at 4 p.m.
